<div itemprop="description">Stearns, Robert Gordon <br>May 25, 1930 - November 16, 2016 <br>Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus. Loving husband to Mary Louise (Jackson) for 64 years. Beloved father of John Stearns (Kathy), Paul Stearns (Kristi) all of Windsor and Kathryn Stearns-Brown (Stephen) of Oakville. Cherished grandfather to Robert (Jackie), Courtney, David, Lindsey, and Matthew. Robert was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia to Benjamin and Ruth Stearns. He leaves his sister Joan Rinfret. He is predeceased by his brothers John, Charlie, Cecil and James as well as sisters Annie Wright, Emily Wright and Janet Dudley. He will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Robert was a member of the Windsor Downtown Lions Club and a volunteer with the Goodfellows organization. Robert worked at Toledo Scale for 45 years and ran a successful photography business. A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus for their compassionate care. There will be a visitation held from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3200 Woodland Ave. Windsor followed by the Memorial Service at 1:00 PM. Fellowship to take place in the church hall after the service. A private family interment will take place at Victoria Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Morris Sutton Funeral Home (519-254-8633). Online condolences may be left at www.msutton.ca. If so desired donations may be made to the Windsor Downtown Lions Club in Robert’s honour. <br></div>
