STRUMP, Moira
In the wee hours of November 16th, 2015, the world lost a truly gentle soul. Eighty-nine years young, Moira Strump was the cherished daughter of Winifred and Robin Strump. She was the beloved sister of Anne McIntosh (Charles) and the late Patrick Strump (Dorene and Drenna, both deceased). Moira was the adored "auntie" of her nieces and nephews: Pamela Strump (Eric), Iain Strump (Sandra), Susan Larsh (David, deceased), Kathleen Quinn, and Elizabeth Zaitz (James). She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews and one great-great-niece. She will be dearly missed by her long-time friend, Julie Albu. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Moira immigrated to Canada in 1945 and began a life-long career at Michigan Bell. She devoted her life to caring for her mother and her treasured pets; spoiling her dogs rotten and patiently training her budgies to speak. She loved to travel and appreciated the little things in life. She was a strikingly beautiful woman who didn't see it. If the measure of a person's life can be based on the absence that is felt when they are no longer with us - Moira's unassuming and quiet life was anything but. Respecting Moira's wishes, there will be a visitation from 6 - 9pm at Morris Sutton Funeral Home (68 Giles Blvd., Windsor) on Thursday November 19th, with a family service the following day. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
