Leonard Leroy Jones
May 21, 1941 - April 7, 2016
JONES, Leonard Leroy
May 21, 1941-April 7, 2016
Leonard (Leroy) Jones was born on May 21, 1941 in Windsor, Ontario
and passed away suddenly at the young age of 74. Son of the late
Reverend Lloyd and Edna (Kersey) Jones and pre-deceased by his
sister Pauline and brother Elmer.
He was a hard worker and was employed with the City of Windsor
for over 30 years. Leonard loved life and had an infectious
laugh and smile that touched everyone who knew him.
He enjoyed having a good time. Singing was in his heart and he
expressed this whenever in church and being called upon to sing.
Three of his favourite songs were: Precious Lord, If I Can Help Somebody
and Just A Closer Walk With Thee. Cars and trucks seemed to be a
passion of his, especially Cadillacs, for he had many.
He is survived by his children Rodney of Windsor, Eric (Tammy) of Kamloops
BC, Candace (John) of Pickering Ont. Proud grandfather of Chartace, Bresden,
Mekhi, Anike and great grandchild Jaida.
He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, god sister Christina Segee
Ellison, special friend to Connie, Gordy Brooks , Rob Diken and a host of nieces,
nephews and friends.
