<div itemprop="description">Peacefully went home to be with the Lord, on August 31, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Beloved son of the late Ella and Ernie Hartje. Husband of Patricia Bennewies and the late Leta Bennewies. Dear father of Wanda Bennewies, and step children Marilyn Cormier, Larry Lamb, and Sean Donaldson. Fondly remembered by five grandchildren Michael Bellmore (Lee Watson), Andrea Docherty (Lindsay), Monica Seaman, Terrance Cormier (Angela) and Cerry Lamb. 13 great grandchildren Quinn, Norah, Alistair, Keira, Michaela, Marshall, Sebastian, Madeline, Olivia, Dillon, Andrew, Gabrielle and Vienne. Predeceased by two sisters Sharon Scheffler, and Joyce Jackson. Survived by brothers-in-law Jim Scheffler, Bob Jackson, many nieces, nephews and friends. <br /><br />Glenn enjoyed playing hymns on his organ and had a strong faith. On April 5th, 2015 he gave his heart to the Lord when he declared Jesus as his Saviour. Glenn was quiet, loving, and kind, would open his heart up to anyone in trouble with a listening ear and would give advice when asked. Retired from Ford Motor Company - Windsor Casting Plant as a maintenance general foreman for over 40 years. <br /><br />Special thanks to WRH Met Campus 6 North staff, Dr. Kizis, Dr. Patterson, Dr. Seski and Hospice for all your care and compassion for Dad. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor or Cancer Clinic would be appreciated. Memorial visitation will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church 1921 Cabana Road, Windsor, on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Morris Sutton Funeral Home 68 Giles Blvd E.
