<div itemprop="description">Elnora Catherine Davis, born March 23, 1927 went to be with the Lord November 30, 2016. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Karl Wilfred Kersey (1987) with whom she shared 38 years of marriage. She leaves behind her children Karl (Artrina) Kersey and Karen Leigh Kersey, her grandsons Jules Avery, Jarrod Desmond and great granddaughter Brionna Corazon. In 1991 Catherine married Calvin Davis. She was predeceased by her sister Lillie Bell Banks. <br> <br>Catherine was a graduate of Cass Technical School in Detroit. After later studying at the French School of Design, she proved to be an accomplished seamstress and designer where she was able to use her creative eye, holding great respect for the artistic domain. <br> <br>Catherine had an unshakeable relationship with God from the time she was fifteen years old. Her faith was buttressed by the guidance of Bishop C.L. Morton Sr. at Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ. She also shared a special affiliation with Harrison Memorial Church of God in Christ under Bishop A.T. Harrison. Moreover, she tirelessly labored as a counselor in Old Testament history with Dr. Ruth Whittaker at Bethesda Christian Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Finally, Catherine worshipped at Parkwood Gospel Temple under the sway of Pastor Mark Hazzard. <br> <br>She will be dearly missed by her close friends Tina Hurst and Elna Browder including numerous relatives and friends</div>
