Beloved wife and best friend of Larry Young, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Cherished Mother of Martha Young, (Michael Watters) and Denny Young (David Ambrose). Proud and doting Nana to Matthew Watters (Courtney Lane) and Nicholas Watters (Mich&egrave;le Le Blanc-Blanchard). Dear sister of Doug St. Denis and sister in-law of the late Kit St. Denis. Dear sister in-law&nbsp;of David Young (Shirley) and Robert Young (Jill Goebel). Cousin of Robert Chambe (Sally). Aunt of Claudia Ganson (Ian), Janet St. Denis-Cahall (Jack), Ardyth Ellis (Michael) Laura Young, Ian Young (Shelley), Alan Young, (Claudette), Mark Young (Pamela), Carol Ann Sheehan (Gord).&nbsp; Betty was devoted to community service.&nbsp; She was a member of and/or volunteered with a number of organizations, including:&nbsp;Calvary United Church (now Bedford United), Nu-Options Service Club, Red Cross, Iona College and most recently was a committed community knitter for the new-born program at Windsor Regional Hospital. In her youth and young adulthood, Betty enjoyed sports and was an accomplished 5 and 10 pin bowler. The family thanks the caregivers at C.C.A.C, and especially thanks the staff at the Royal Marquis for the thoughtful support provided, particularly since her diagnosis in April. They were exceptional! Also, special thanks to the Hospice of Windsor for the compassionate and sensitive care provided at the end of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Downtown Mission, or to the Hospice of Windsor. A Celebration of Betty&rsquo;s life will be held at a later date. </p> </div>
